Lake Geneva Wedding Photography
Lake Geneva is a nearby and breathtaking city to have your wedding and to take photos. It is one of my most common cities close to my base in Milwaukee to photograph either wedding days or engagement sessions or portrait session. They have many, many wonderful venues to choose from.
Here are the venues that I already have experience shooting a wedding at: The Ridge Hotel, Lake Geneva Yacht Club, Williams Bay Beach and Woodhill Farms Nursery. Below you’ll see examples from each of those venues.
The Ridge Hotel is such a beautiful location. Not only have I photographed a wedding there, but I’ve also participated in two wedding expos at that location. The big draw for the Ridge Hotel is an outdoor bricked courtyard and a breathtaking outdoor ceremony spot located on a small rise with a spanning view of Lake Geneva in the background. They also have a fun upstairs bar area where you can take quirky artistic portraits and if you want to go off the property there are quite a few parks nearby for a portrait session.
The Lake Geneva Yacht Club is an equally impressive complex as the outside of it facing the lake gives off a sprawling multistory blue and white classy harbor design. A plus is that the club is right on the shores of Lake Geneva and you can hop on the Lake Geneva Trail for some nature backdrops including a small bridge and a dirt trail along a nice wooden fence.
No Travel Fee
The city of Lake Geneva and its surrounding area is considered part of my home base area. There is no extra charge for traveling to Lake Geneva, whether for your wedding day or for your engagement portraits.
In person walkthrough
If you hire me for your wedding, I will gladly walkthrough your Lake Geneva wedding venue with no extra charge. This separates me from a lot of wedding photographers who don’t offer this service. All walkthroughs will take place Monday-Thursday before 5 pm at a time and date agreed upon by all of us. We can also meet in the area for any planning or informational meeting.
Half-day engagement sessions
If you purchase a wedding package that includes an engagement session, you’ll be hiring me for up to four hours, which is what is considered a half-day. The four hours is reserved for an engagement session that includes up to three locations, allowing us to travel. For Lake Geneva engagements that could include traveling in the surrounding areas including different parks, downtown Lake Geneva, and other fun spots like a tree nursery.
Single location engagement sessions will be 90 minutes to two hours.
